Daphne's Fight Against Cancer

I'm reaching out to share a story with you and ask you for help.  Many of you already know that my sister Daphne has experienced the unthinkable this summer.  She has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  It breaks my heart to not be in Tucson physically to offer her support so I have been staying in touch with her throughout the process to offer emotional support and make sure she knows how much I love her.  See, my sister is not only a sister to me,  she was my second mother when my parents were otherwise battling their own demons.  She and Wayne would see to it that Tommy, Niki and I wouldn't go hungry.
I called her last week to see how her healing is coming along and I was astonished to realize that her main concern is how she will pay for her treatment, it's what's keeping her up at night.  My sister works very hard for everything she has.  She is not one to accept and certainly would never expect handouts.  She has insurance to help but her deductable alone is really high. With the history of cancer in our family, the doctor, in addition to her surgery ordered (very expensive) genetic testing. She is over the hump of the actual procedure to remove the cancer and is starting the next phase of her treatment.  You guys, if I know anything, it's that stress kills!  The physical battle of surgery and chemo therapy is enough for one person to tackle.
