Hi! My name is Scott Shields and I’m taking part in The WitchWood Run on the 16th of May, and I am looking to raise funds for The Danny Knox Foundation. The WitchWood Run is a 24-hour trail running challenge in Inverkip, Scotland, where participants complete as many 5.6 km laps as they can. Many of you knew Danny as a kind, generous friend — someone who always looked out for others. Sadly, Danny lost his battle with cancer, after showing immense courage throughout his treatment. Even while fighting his own illness, he continued to think of others and give back to his community.

After his passing, some of Danny's close friends set up The Danny Knox Foundation, a charity that continues his legacy by raising money for worthy causes and supporting the local community — just as he would have wanted.

I want to help keep Danny’s legacy alive by supporting the work of the Foundation and the positive difference they make in people’s lives.

The funds I raise will go directly to The Danny Knox Foundation to support their ongoing donations to charity’s such as The Ardgowan Hospice and Children in Poverty Inverclyde, who play a vital role in supporting local people in their time of need.

Every donation no matter how big or small makes an impact and motivates me as I take on this challenge.
