For my Senior year in High School, I am continuing my attendence of a public school called the School of Environmental Studies (SES for short).

At this school, I am able to take each course (math, history, English, etc.) but they are all placed at an advanced level, and focused on my favorite topic, the environment! I plan on one day working in the field of biology and this school gives me many of the necessary skills to achieve my dream. Some of the many opportunities this school provides are week-long field studies where we travel to various regions of Earth to delve even closer to what we are intrigued with learning in class. I have already taken one trip to South Africa, which was an amazing and life-changing experience. This fund was the core reason I was able to go on that trip. Now with my last high school days at hand, I plan to make this year extra special by exploring the world again, as I don't know what opportunities I will have to do so after this year. This time I hope to make it toto Roatan, Honduras this winter, and possibly have a chance to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in the summertime. The focus right now is Roatan though, which has been my dream for the past two years. I am very interested in restoring and helping ocean ecosystems, and this trip takes me to a beatufil tropical sea where I can document species as I scuba dive and learn more about such environments. Such a trip will give me great experience in something I might want to do for the rest of my life, as well as certify me in deep water and nighttime scuba diving. I am working on recieving my open water diving license here in Minnesota so I can do so. The one struggle I face with this trip, and the reason why I am reaching out through this site, is finding the money I will need to get there and participate in the many tasks we will be given. These are opportunities I couldn't stand to miss, and any donations and funds I can get I will gladly receive to put towards these exciting experiences!
