As most of you know my dad had been ill for a while. Unfortunately we were unable to get life insurance on him after the terminal cancer diagnosis.

I wish he would have gotten it while he was well but we cannot turn back time.

He is in ICU at CMC on comfort measures. They do not know if he will make it through the night. If he does he will be put into impatient hospice at the hospital.

Mom and I are ashamed to admit it but we cannot afford my father's cremation.

He will be cremated at Kearney funeral home and they are helping Mom and I out by giving us a little break on the cost. 2100.00

It's going to be a little while before she gets half of his pension check and he was the bread winner of our household.

Once his pension comes in mom and I will be okay with my income and hers.

I really didn't want to make this go fund me. I don't like to ask for help for ourselves when so many others need. But this time I have no choice.

Update on dad. 12/12/23

He has been transferred to allied hospice and is now unresponsive. He is comfortable and not in pain.

Dad passed away today at 530 this morning

I have changed the amount of the go fund me to reflect what was already given if you can please donate directly to the funeral home.

Kearney funeral home in Scranton pa. They take donations over the phone. We do not want to take more than what is needed and I didn't realize it takes a while to get the go fund me payment. I thought it was like Venmo ❤️. Thank you so much everyone
