Daniel DJ Dillard Surgery Recovery Fund

My brother, DJ Dillard, had successful surgery for a malignant brain tumor eleven years ago, followed by chemo and radiation. He had done well, with only minor deficits from the surgery, and having periodic MRI scans to check for any issues. Unfortunately, his recent scans have indicated some possible new growth and DJ will have to undergo a second brain surgery on March 7th at UAB in Birmingham.

DJ is an Eagle scout (once an Eagle, always an Eagle as the scouts say) a volunteer firefighter in Marlowe, and just generally a good guy and goofy friend. Anyone who knows him knows he would do anything to help anyone if he can.

Well now DJ needs a little help. Thankfully he has medical insurance through his

employer but has no paid sick time, or short term disability. He will need to be off work for at least one month, with no income, as well as paying for his medical insurance out of pocket and other costs such as co-pays. His wife Laura will also have some travel expenses in order to stay with him during the week of surgery.

We are asking for some help with expenses to get he, and his wife, through this difficult experience. Anything would be greatly appreciated. If you can't financially contribute, will you please share the link to help.
