Chase Cantrell is the 21 year old son of Mark Cantrell (April) and Nancy Cantrell, originally from Franklin, TN. He is a senior at Baylor University, in Waco TX, where he is majoring in journalism and public relations with a minor in entrepreneurship, and is a newly initiated member of Sigma Chi. He is also employed at The View on 10th.   While visiting with family in Mississippi for Thanksgiving , during the early hours of Friday morning, Chase suffered an epileptic seizure. After finding him unresponsive, Chase's family initiated CPR until the ambulance arrived. He was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition in ICCU. Chase's brain is swollen, but there is some brain activity. He responds to his mother singing by moving his arm and has squeezed his dad's hand when asked if he could hear him. But, Chase is not out of the woods just yet; he is beginning to have kidney failure. We are praying for all systems to be stable and for Chase to wake up! Today is day 5. Chase's parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and several other family have been there this entire time, and still remain. The expense of rooms and food are a burden that we as family and friends can help alleviate together. It is expected that some immediate family may have to travel due to school and other obligations. Every dollar will be immensely appreciated.
