Annalyn's First Wheelchair!

In less than a month, Annalyn will be turning one. She has spent the past eleven months fiercely fighting through the physical challenges associated with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. She has excelled in physical and occupational therapies and has learned how to rollover, balance unassisted, and sit-up independently, all while having total paralysis of her legs. She is now moving towards the next step in her mobility as she prepares for her first wheelchair.

In lieu of birthday gifts, we have started this account to assist with the purchase of her first wheelchair. Since it will be essential for her to see her wheelchair as a tool for her independence, we have chosen a custom wheelchair by BOX. These chairs offer a personalized fit for her body, creating the greatest comfort and maneuverability as she learns to navigate her world on wheels. Although the initial cost is extensive, the chair will last several years as modifications can be made as she grows. We are extremely proud of this fierce little girl and all she has accomplished in her short lifetime. We are also over the moon being able to call her our daughter. Please know any amount will bring us closer to our goal and will be deeply appreciated by our family.
