Simba is our 5-year-old cat, and he’s truly part of our family , he's sweet, loving, and always by our side. A few days ago, he suddenly became very ill and began vomiting repeatedly. We rushed him to a vet clinic, where they ran blood tests and sent us home with medication. Unfortunately, his condition didn’t improve. He kept vomiting, couldn’t tolerate any food, and we knew something was very wrong.

We took him for a second opinion at another veterinary clinic. There, they discovered an object lodged in his throat, likely a hair or thread. By the time they found it, Simba was severely dehydrated, in pain, and his blood work had become abnormal. He needed urgent treatment, including additional blood tests, X-rays, and an ultrasound. Thankfully, the extraction was performed without any complications, and Simba is now recovering. We are relieved and grateful, but the unexpected emergency has resulted in $5,300 CAD in veterinary costs.

Simba is such an important part of our family, and we are doing everything we can to make sure he gets the care he needs to fully recover.
