Stage 4 Cancer- Mr. Marty Medical Fund

Little Learners Discovery Center is raising money for Winford Vernier, better known as Marty, our Pre-K teacher Mrs. Louetta's husband of 53 years. Marty has stage 4 lung cancer. Going through chemotherapy and all of the procedures and medications necessary is very expensive, and with his wife being his only caretaker (while still working full time), very exhausting. Marty and his wife have contributed to the community in incredible ways. Marty and Lou have been educators for 25+ years, with Marty being a history teacher at in the Washington Local School District and Lou doing just about everything you can possibly do in education. Both Lou and Marty have been heavily involved in St. Michaels Church in Whiteford Center for 53+ years. From playing Santa around the holidays for the last 10 years to singing in the church choir (and everything in between), this couple has given all they can to bettering our community.
