Craig Brooks Memorial

Dear friend or family member,

I am writing to you today to let you know about the sudden loss of Craig Brooks. Craig or coach Brooks was such a gentle soul. Everyone that encountered Craig left his presence with a smile and laughter.

Craig was originally from Los Angeles, and the bay area in California. Craig was an accomplished football player/ wrestler for James Logan High School. Craig was one of the top football players in the nation. Craig went on to play Division 2 football at Northern Colorado University, and then Division 1 at Colorado State University.

Craig loved working with kids/teens. Craig found his calling while working for Rite of Passage (Canyon State Academy). Craig made relationships there that would last a lifetime. Coach Brooks would eventually go on to become a Coach/Counselor to a Group Leader. Craig eventually became the head wrestling coach of Canyon State Academy, Higley High School, and Mountain Pointe High School. His student athletes went on to become some of the top wrestlers in the state of Arizona and go to colleges all across nation.

Craig loved his dogs Merlot and Lexi. Craig loved all dogs to be honest. He protected them like they were his own children. He always wanted to work with animals because he had always felt a deep connection with animals. He would often say his connection with dogs were better than his connection with people.

Craig went on to be with the Lord in the early hours of Saturday 11/06/2021, with his mother by his side. Craig was such an inspiration to everyone that he touched. We are absolutely devastated by Craig Brook’s passing, and we are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of the expenses left to his mother/family.
