Occupational Therapy
Donation protected
My adopted son had 7 foster homes by the time he was 5 years old. I adopted him when he was my kindergarten student three years ago and my amazing kid has shown unbelievable resilience. He is a kind, lovable, funny and talented boy. Though most people wouldn't guess that he has residual problems, he is now 9 years old and is struggling with academics.
But there's hope! Occupational therapy can help him go back and do the brain building he missed as a toddler!
Unfortunately, the level of intervention he needs is prohibitive for a single mom living on a teacher's salary and insurance does not cover it.
They suggest an intense intervention; 2 hours of therapy a week. At $135 an hour for three months. It comes to $3,240.
Money would go directly to the therapists (Occupational therapists and developmental opthomologists) at Kidspace in SF.
We would truly appreciate your help!![](http://fe391d5e875395beaa5c-4d0fcf8d315d40f305ee2ebb6c32f79c.r96.cf1.rackcdn.com/1904875_desc_1407450522.3372.jpg)
