Our family was hit pretty hard the last two years like many others due to job losses during covid. Then the unexpected occurred when my child's mother started to deny visitation in blatant opposition to a court order. Since this is a civil matter, the courts are slow to enforce this contempt and the costs associated with having this matter heard are overwhelming. Our family has already paid out over 12k in the last two years to get this custody arrangement put in place and now are having to bear the costs of getting the courts to enforce this order. My son has some mental health issues that are being caused by the living situation he's currently in and we are desperately fighting to get him into a healthier place and for the treatment he needs, but the first step is getting the courts to hear and modify this case. Our costs have exceeded the amount we're hoping to raise, and we can't afford to keep pursuing this without financial assistance. The hard reality is that we are having to look at options like selling our home or losing all contact with my son. Any help is greatly appreciated and will go directly to the lawyer fees we owe, and are continuing to incur for this fight.
