Help Rebuild a Family’s Life After Hurricane Melissa’s Destruction in Falmouth, Jamaica

When Hurricane Melissa swept across Jamaica, it tore through communities and lives, leaving a wake of destruction and many without shelter. My best friend’s family, who live in, Falmouth, lost the roof of the house they lived in and all their personal effects in the storm. Their home is still exposed to the elements with extensive rain damage to what remains inside.

Who We Are:

The Cooper family - Kimmy, Jeremy, Brittany & Carly — are loving caretakers of three dogs and two cats, and have always been kind, fun-loving and warm to others.

Where We’re From:

Falmouth, Jamaica

Just last week I (Becky) bunked with Aunty Kimmy and Uncle Jeremy on the farm, sharing hugs, laughter and brown stew chicken under their roof and terrace garden by the ackee tree.

Now, they urgently need our help to relocate and find shelter, and rise up out of this heartbreaking situation.

We are raising $50,000 USD. The funds will aid the family in the post-disaster recovery outlined:
