Contra Costa Against COVID

Donation protected
Amidst the COVID-19 crisis, which is paralyzing communities around the world, the homeless are being severely impacted with no shelter, protection, or nourishment available to them. In Bay Area, California, specifically, homeless shelters are currently left with a shortage of food and water supplies and often zero personal protective equipment (PPE - masks, gloves, etc.) to distribute. This is mainly due to the lack of funding and preparation shelters have in response to this unprecedented and unexpected situation we are all facing.

In order to address this issue, we, a group of students at Dougherty Valley High School located in San Ramon, CA, are working to unite our community and help provide proper PPE for homeless shelters around the Bay Area. We are hoping to raise money so that we can provide Trinity Center, a homeless shelter in Walnut Creek, CA, with washable and reusable cotton masks, gloves, sanitizers, and other PPE to distribute to the homeless and alleviate some of their burdens.

To support this mission and homeless shelters throughout the Bay Area, we are asking you to donate anything you can! 100% of the proceeds will go directly into purchasing the above PPE for Trinity Center and other homeless shelters in the Bay.
