Consequences of Cancer

When I heard the heart stopping words...”It’s Cancer”, it changed my life from a dedicated mother, mentor, and healthcare professional (I am a Registered Nurse).   I am blessed to have three beautiful daughters as my caregivers who placed their college career goals on hold.

Being diagnosed with stage IV uterine cancer changed my body and life forever.   I was immediately thrown into a medical vortex!  If I wasn’t at a doctor’s office, I was on hold with a doctor’s office or online researching a doctor’s office.   I lost my hair,  more than a year of my life to tests, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation,  became wheelchair dependent which included loss of my ability to independently care for myself due to the chemo induced neuropathy,  and finally financial devastation.

Through my own cancer experience...I learned some hard lessons about who I am and what I need...most importantly I know I MUST trust and depend on God.  I learned about my resilience and limitations.  I had to learn not to push myself and ask for help.  As a result, I am reaching out to request your assistance to help with the overwhelming medical bills which is consuming my financial life.  I am continuing to pray for healing, restoration and a financial breakthrough.  May God bless each of you!!
