Columbus Father Of Four Faces Unjust Police Force
Don protégé
On June 16, 2025, in the city of Columbus, Ohio, a harrowing incident of police misconduct changed my life forever and threatened to leave my four children without their father. While simply living my life as a Black father, son, and law-abiding citizen, police officers subjected me to an ordeal that no human being should ever endure.
That day, I was aggressively slammed into the ground, my face meeting the harsh concrete with a force that rendered me unconscious. I was then illegally searched and left bleeding in the back of a squad car.
All of this occurred without a single acknowledgment of my rights; no Miranda rights were read to me, and no identification was requested. I had no weapons, no drugs – nothing to justify the brutality I experienced. Since that horrific day, my efforts to seek justice have been stymied. Despite the clear violation of my civil rights, no lawyer has agreed to take my case, leaving me to fight this battle alone. I am not a criminal but a person whose dignity and rights were brutally disregarded.
This is not just about me; it's about accountability within the Columbus Police Department. I am calling on the City of Columbus to launch a full, independent investigation into this incident. The officers involved must be held accountable for their actions. Moreover, I demand the city release all body camera footage from that day to ensure complete transparency.
It's crucial for my children to know that their father stands strong against injustice and that no one is above the law, not even those who are supposed to protect and serve. This petition is not only a plea for justice for myself but also for every individual who has suffered under similar circumstances.
Join me in urging the City of Columbus to take action. Please sign this petition to demand accountability and justice.
