Color the Courts

Western Dubuque/ Epworth Area Tennis Supporters
If you have ever set foot on the Epworth City tennis courts (Circa 1981-2017) we need your help. Whether a tennis hacker, a WD tennis athlete, an Epworth tourney player, took lessons from Brenda or Tom Wickham, or hit with any of the 8 Wick kids, please read on.
The city is re-doing the courts spending $47,000 to 1)repave the surface; 2)add new fences and standards for the present two courts, a pickleball court and two basketball hoops. With 90 girls and boys in the WDHS tennis program these courts are needed for JV practice.
Our family was with you on those courts beginning in the fall of 1981 and before that on the SVD (Divine Word Seminary) court. Our goal is to raise an additional $10,000 to color coat the coats rather than leaving them like a black parking lot. The Wickhams are contributing the initial $3,000 but we need to raise an additional $7,000 for the acrylic color texture.
