Colombian in The Philippines, Carlos Murillo, needs Life-Saving treatment.

Hi everyone, I am fundraising for a close friend recently diagnosed with adenocarcinoma (Stomach
Cancer). Carlos Murillo and his wife are both Colombians and traveled a few years ago to The Philippines due to work and the dream of a new life in the beautiful island. They, as most of us, never thought to receive such heartbreaking and challenging news far from the family and their homeland. Since the COVID-19 pandemic started and Colombia´s borders were closed they had to decide to start chemo and pay-out -of pocket the initial treatment. Unfortunately, as a foreigner, he is not entitled to unexpensive treatment in the Philippines and their medical insurance is limited doesn´t cover any cost for chemotherapy, surgery, and medicines. Considering the disease has already started to spread and fees for treating cancer in the Philippines are high we hope to help speed his route to treatment by funding as much money as
we can. We are knocking your good hearts in this regard. The collected funds will go towards covering the cost of the expenses of this unexpected disease. This will help him get some relief from the stress he is going through and will help them dedicate all the time and attention to the healing process, without the additional worry of a financial burden.

Hola a todos, estoy recaudando fondos para un amigo cercano al que recientemente se le diagnosticó adenocarcinoma (cáncer de estómago). Carlos Murillo y su esposa son colombianos y viajaron hace unos años a Filipinas debido al trabajo y al sueño de una nueva vida en la hermosa isla. Ellos, como la mayoría de nosotros, nunca pensaron en recibir una noticia tan desgarradora y desafiante lejos de la familia y su tierra natal. Desde que comenzó la pandemia de COVID-19 y se cerraron las fronteras de Colombia, tuvieron que decidir iniciar la quimioterapia y pagar de su bolsillo el tratamiento inicial.
Desafortunadamente, como extranjero, no tiene derecho a un tratamiento económico en Filipinas y su seguro médico no cubre ningún costo de quimioterapia, cirugía y medicamentos. Teniendo en cuenta que la enfermedad ya ha comenzado a extenderse y las tarifas por tratar el cáncer en Filipinas son muy altas, esperamos ayudar a acelerar su tratamiento mediante la financiación de la mayor cantidad de dinero posible.
Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a cubrir el costo de los gastos de esta inesperada enfermedad. Esto le ayudará a obtener algo de alivio del estrés por el que está pasando y le ayudará a dedicar todo su tiempo y atención al proceso de curación, sin la preocupación adicional de una carga financiera.
