Collette Merrill

Hi my name is Cathy Baldwin I am doing a fundraiser for my cousin Collette Merrill.

In October 2021 Collette wasn't feeling well so she went in to see her doctor only to find out that she needed surgery to correct a prolapse problem. She was sent home on bed rest until the beginning of the year when she was able to have surgery to correct that issue. Followed by 2 other surgeries to completely fix the problem. Only to be out of work for 6 months total including recovery.

In June 2022 Collette had not been feeling well at work. After talking with her husband Lane they decided that since the symptoms didn't subside she needed to talk to her manager to discussed what had been going on. After suffering total weakness on the one side of her body along with other symptoms she was advised by her employer to go to the hospital. They suspected that she had just had a stroke. After arriving at St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah and after several tests they confirmed that she had indeed had a stroke. Collette stayed in the ICU for a few days then was moved to another room for several more days before she was released to go home. Shortly after being at home she received a phone call from her employer saying she was being terminated from her job due to being out of FMLA time at work.

So now along with trying to recover from a stroke, weekly speech therapy, Occupational therapy, physical therapy and other medical appointments Collette and her husband Lane now have the added stress of less income along with medical bills adding up right before their eyes. Not to leave out the risk of them loosing their home.

Which is why I have started this Go Find Me account in hopes of trying to relieve some of their financial stress. If you are able to donate I know they would both greatly appreciate it. If not, please pass this on to anyone who might be able to help this sweet couple.
