College Tuition at TCU

This past fall, I had the opportunity to attend my first year at my longstanding dream university, TCU. I am majoring in education and aspire to one day create a learning environment for young students of my own. I enjoy being around and talking with kids, and becoming a teacher is my passion. I greatly value my studies at TCU and the many friends I have met that I now consider my family.

During my junior year of high school, my mom was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a brain and spinal cord disease. Because of this, she was unable to work, and the only household income we received was through government aid and any income I earned from work. In addition to my mom's condition, COVID made it difficult for us in many aspects. Her medical bills quickly escalated, and we struggled to keep up financially. Through scholarships, financial aid, and pulling together our savings, I was barely successful in paying for my first year at TCU. However, I no longer have the financial ability to attend this upcoming fall semester again as I cannot attain a sufficient amount in student loans and scholarships.
