College Fund For Alex Milo Meredith

Hi, my name is Jeff Meredith. My younger brother Scott passed away on May 5, leaving behind a wife, Kate, and 3 1/2 year old son, Alex Milo Meredith. Scott was only 37 years old.

FIRST Robotics alumni and former students of Scott have expressed interest in contributing to a college fund for Alex, so we have set one up. We are deeply moved by your interest in contributing to Alex's future.

Alex is an incredibly intelligent young boy. No surprise given that his father was a robotics guru and his mother speaks five languages. Alex loved to follow his father around his lab and learn how to use tools (screwdrivers), vacuum, and broom. He loves cooking. Just this week he helped his grandmother make blueberry muffins. And what's better than sharing blueberry muffins with all the people you love? Alex is a giver, just like his father was. He loves to run and be outside and is defined by his curiosity about the world.

Scott Meredith spent 15 years teaching and had a remarkable impact on his Robbinsville and Peddie students, influencing a whole generation to pursue careers in STEM. He excelled as a FIRST Robotics mentor, coaching several teams that were a force in the Mid-Atlantic region and advanced to the FIRST World Championship. While his talent and passion for robotics was undeniable, we remember Scott as an incredible son, brother, husband, and father. He was a caring person, quick-witted, and always there for the people he loved.

We appreciate everything you're doing for Alex. As an uncle I can't help but think that he's destined for great things in this world.
