Raiders , we all remember Colleen Brophy. She is a resident on Saint Simons Island for the past 20 plus years . She has been a friend of mine from high school thru college . Colleen has been hit with unfortunate circumstances since August ‘ 19 .
During a storm in August she went outside her apartment to secure a breaker panel door that was not secured or up to code . She slipped and completely blew her left knee out . She actually forced her kneecap back into place while struggling on the ground during the storm .
As a result , hospitalization , rehab and loss of employment has left her completely broke and living in her car . Insurance did not cover all and , employers do not want to take on a possible liability . Her brother , ex and I are doing what we can , but when you see hope fadeing you gotta do what you gotta do. This is why I’m asking for help because her hope is fadeing her spirit is breaking . She has no idea I went this route , but you gotta do what you gotta do .
