I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments in my life. My sweet squirrel, Gibby, has been by my side for nearly 9 years. He’s not just a pet—he’s my little soulmate, my sunshine on tough days, and my family.

Just two months ago, Gibby bravely underwent a major surgery to remove his ear canal after months of recurring infections and pain. That surgery cost over $4,000, but it gave him back his quality of life—his comfort, his energy, and his spark. We thought we were finally in the clear.

But now, Gibby is facing something even more serious: acute congestive heart failure.

He’s been undergoing extensive testing, including echocardiograms, EKGs, X-rays, and multiple recheck exams. He’s also started a regimen of daily medications to manage his condition. The cost of this new round of care has already reached an additional $5,000 with each follow-up costing a minimum of 1,000 going forward.

Gibby is fighting so hard, and I’m doing everything in my power to give him the care he needs—but the truth is, the financial burden is becoming overwhelming.
