Cruzita Jimenez Funeral

Luis Rosado and Luz Nereida Rosado's mom, passed away this morning.
Cruzita was a great woman. Not only were the doors of her home always open, but also her heart. She had integrity. She was genuine. What you saw was what you got. As she practiced and lived her faith, she was always loving. Never judgmental. She resorted to her hearty laugh when she did not understand something or was withholding judgment. We loved her strong will and protection of those she loved.
Whether it was cooking arroz, habichuelas y bistec, or it was praising God as she accompanied Regino playing his Cuatro, there was no doubt she was a Jibara. Proud, dignified, strong, and sincere.
She loved Luis, Nereida, Ivan, Mari, Angel, Angel Jr. Damian, and Little Ivan. Being the caring Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma, she refused to leave this world until she was sure they would stay together as a family and care for each other after her departure. Once she knew it, she began her journey. In her gentle and strong way, she insisted on returning to her apartment for her journey home. She did it her way, as she had lived her life.
She expressed her love for God and said she was ready to go home. She peacefully watched her sunset and made sure we knew she would be waiting for us on the other side.
We will always remember her with love and affection.
