Help Our Sister Beat Cancer

Update: Unfortunately, on the 16th of August, 2024, my sister passed away peacefully.

Hi everyone, our names are Nicole and Tricia and this is our eldest sister, Bea. Our eldest sister grew up in the Philippines, visiting Australia ever so often but had no urge to migrate. That was until March 24th, 2022, when my sister’s partner unfortunately passed away in a motorbike accident. This took a huge toll on her mental and physical health, leading to her falling into a deep depression. After a lot of thinking, my sister decided to make the move to Australia to start a new life at the beginning of 2023. Slowly but surely, my sister’s life started to look up. Her student visa was approved, she began her studies, she landed a job and she met some amazing friends.

However, Bea started experiencing kidney pain and urinary difficulties a few months later. Despite numerous medical consultations, the specialist discovered that she had a kidney tumour. She underwent a procedure to remove the tumour on December 18th. Unfortunately, after further tests were conducted, it was revealed that she has Bladder Cancer. On January 22nd, we learned that the Cancer had metastasised resulting in it spreading to her Ovaries, Uterus and her Colon. To complicate matters, we discovered that our sister wasn’t eligible for government financial aid. While she has insurance, coverage details are uncertain, and she has already faced out-of-pocket expenses for her treatment.

In all honesty, our family needs help.

While me and my parents are doing all that we can to support Bea, the funds we have available are not enough to cover her treatment. A donation of any amount, whether it be $1 or $10 would mean the world to my family, and especially to Bea
