Hi Folks,
It's time for Africa again this year and I am looking for your help and support. My plan is to use the money raised by the Go Fund Me account to sponsor children at City of Hope primary and secondary schools.
City of Hope is run by the Salesian Sisters in Lusaka, Zambia.
The mission is on a 30 hectare site. Among its features is a refuge for girls at risk, which supports 35 residents. The mission also has a co-educational primary school and a secondary school for girls.
Vocational courses and training are offered in the adult education centre.
The sisters also manage a number of farming activities which help to support the residents of the mission. The Salesian Sisters in Ireland have set up a system which facilitates the sponsorship of children at City of Hope. I believe that this a very useful way to support education and development in Africa.
I intend, as before, to write a blog so that you are informed about life on the mission and my activities there.
