Christmas for Inner City Youth

Youth Build Newark has partnered and emerged with LEAD Charter School at 201 Bergen St., Newark, NJ. LEAD's goal is to educate future leaders. It operates differently from traditional high schools. The LEAD philosophy comes from the Youth Build model. Although the academic component is vitally important, it is our goal to change lives and produce cutting edge, resilient, and transformed individuals into the greater society, empowered with vision and drive. At risk youth will be nurtured and educated to stand in humility and grace. Because these young people come from diverse and challenged backgrounds, this effort is to allow them to enjoy the spirit of Christmas.

The funds will be used to purchase gifts for the students this Christmas season. In addition, we want to assist the students who are in dire need of basic necesseties such as food and clothing.

To insure these gifts are delivered in time for Christmas, we would need the funds by Sunday, the 17th, so we can start making purchases on Monday and Tuesday.
