Aroma Thyme Bistro provides a no questioned asked free Christmas Day meal in the Hudson Valley. Meals are delivered to over 750 people up to 30 minutes away from Ellenville.
Ellenville is an area in upstate NY that was hit hard from economic downturn in the 2000's. The community of 4000 people lost close to 1000 jobs with the closure of the Nevele Resort, Hydro Aluminum and Schrade Cutlery. All of these buildings still sit empty and the jobs have never came back.
“I love giving back to the community” says chef/owner Marcus Guiliano. “The community rallies and helps with volunteers. But this event does cost money. We have absorbed the cost the last 13 years”.
Questions are never asked when people want a meal. There is no judging. Just a warn meal provided free on Christmas Day. The event keeps growing every year. Last year 755 meals were provided.
We are looking for donations to help us pull this event off.
