I met Chris Rubio 4 years ago while volunteering for the Salvation Army in preparation to feed those in need during Thanksgiving.  I was immediately drawn to his magnetic energy and sincere smile.  He was there to help people.  I had not yet met his wife, but I soon found out that they were both heavily involved in our local community.  They both dedicated not only their work life to helping others, but also did so in their free time.  I wanted to make them my friends, partly because I love to surround myself with people who inspire me to be a better person.  I love these people.  On the morning of June 27th, 2017 Chris found his loving wife Deana unresponsive and had her rushed to the hospital where she later passed away.  It was tragic, sudden and completely unexpected.  They have 7 children and 9 grandchildren.  Deana will be missed not only by her immediate family, but by those who she touched daily during her time here on Earth.  My heart truly aches for Chris Rubio who is a giver and never expects anything in return...the epitome of selflessness and grace.  I am starting this GoFundMe page on behalf of Refuge for Redemption (Non-Profit Oranization) in order give back to this family in need.  These are two people who have certainly given more than they have taken from this world.  I am asking that we come together to help facilitate some of the costs that they will incur as a result of this tragedy.  Anything Helps and every single dollar that is raised will go directly to the family.
