Our dear colleague Chris Buckley was involved in a car accident while commuting to the Oral Health Research Institute (OHRI) of the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) on August 19th. After spending nine days in the surgical trauma ICU, and a week in the surgical step-down unit, she was discharged to a rehabilitation hospital on September 4th. She has a long path of recovery ahead of her that will probably take many months.

I imagine many of you - at IUSD or elsewhere - have never met Chris. She has been integral to the fluoride research conducted at OHRI and trained and supported many students, faculty, and researchers worldwide. She is a very kind soul, and we dearly miss her.

Chris will need financial support to pay medical bills, rehab, a new car, lawyers etc. I know these are challenging times. Hence, ANY donation would be greatly appreciated.
