We are two highly experienced adventurers seeking funding for and investment in our new all-inclusive hiking & camping company, Lighten Up Adventures!
Lewis has traveled to over 45 countries and Manuel has over seven years professional experience in mountaineering and outdoor survival. We both love the outdoors and have a real passion for adventure travel and exploring unique and rarely explored destinations. And we want to create a business together that has a genuinely positive impact by connecting people to the great outdoors and true wonder of nature.
The essence of our company is about lightening your load, literally and figuratively. We will provide fun and active adventures led with warmth, humor and understanding.
We have some GREAT REWARDS for your support, at every donation level. We will start fulfilling all rewards levels (apart from actual adventures) from the middle of January 2019 onwards. And our first adventures start in June 2019.
After you donate, simply send us a message with your donation level, and once confirmed, we’ll email you back with estimated delivery/fulfillment dates and ask for your preferred mailing address to ship them to you (if applicable).

STAGE ONE of funding goes toward the creation of our website - lightenupadventures.com and reservations portal, getting our adventures fully licensed and insured and purchasing of all of the premium camping, hiking and adventure gear necessary to offer you the very best experiences.

* Our adventures are all inclusive - all ground transportation, gourmet meals (we will forever change the way you think about camp food!) and all daily activities are included! No hidden extras or add-ons.
* Because we provide absolutely all of your camping gear (including your premium lightweight backpack), all you need to bring is suitable hiking clothing and footwear.
* Careful planning and the highest quality lightweight tents, bags and gear mean that we can travel to some pretty remote locations without sacrificing your comfort. We provide tents with lighting, premium sleeping mats and the highest quality down filled sleeping bags and pillows so you will sleep comfortably and wake up rested and ready for each day’s activities. And our ground staff carry your food and the main camp setup, so your total pack weight will be just 16lbs/7kg!
* Camp life is designed for comfort and relaxation, with daily warm showers each morning, cooked gourmet meals for breakfast and dinner and daily picnic lunches in some of our favorite spots.
* In addition to our core team, all adventures will feature Local Guides, chosen for their knowledge of the areas we are exploring.
* Our adventures are graded according to challenge level, and we can match you with the right adventure for your fitness level -

Our most challenging adventures. Active hikes, with trails often at quite steep elevations. Tent based accommodation, but with all of the camp comforts of Lighten Up (private tent, deluxe sleeping pad, bag and pillow, warm showers, cooked meals).
ACTIVE COMFORT+
Adventures at the same activity level as ACTIVE COMFORT, but with some cabin accommodation and 4WD/SUV transportation within the adventure.
ACTIVE DELUXE
Your most comfortable adventure, with 100% cabin accommodation & shorter hikes, without compromising on the same kinds of spectacular locations we are planning for all of our Lighten Up Adventures.
All our Trip Leaders and guides are certified in first aid, food safety & have extensive mountaineering experience.
We LOVE gourmet food! And have always wondered why camping seems to imply skimping on eating well. We know from experience that food tastes 100% better when eaten in a beautiful location. So our menus are designed with variety, quality and taste in mind.
There are many adventure travel companies out there, but we were very surprised at how few of them offer hiking and camping based adventure travel. We couldn’t find another company offering all-inclusive adventures w/ all of your gear, meals and professional photography included.
It’s almost impossible to describe the impact of an experience like this. Totally removed from everyday routines and immersed in some of the most extraordinary natural destinations on earth.
