Chloe's Fight: Surgery and Recovery
Donación protegida
Hello everyone my name is Tonya and I'm starting this in hopes of helping my grand-pup. This is Chloe, my daughter's deaf mini aussie. She's the most loving and friendly dog and has been my daughter's sidekick helping through mental health always there on her good days and never leaving her side on her bad one.
Everyday when my daughter gets home for lunch Chloe is there to greet her with a little dance, her deaf howl and circle around her, but a few days ago she noticed that Chloe wasn't being her usual self. Within 2 days Chloe was throwing up non stop stomach aches and wouldn't eat. 5/21 My daughter took her to the vet and they referred her to Wasson Memorial in lakeport. 5/22/25 Wasson got Chloe in after blood work and and ultrasound they found blockages in her lower intestine, a bad gall bladder and very high numbers for her liver and kidney count. Chloe went into emergency surgery 5/23/25 at 11am. She had a few blockage in her intestine caused by her gall bladder being so bad, lucky they were able to get those flushed and her liver started working again. Unfortunately her gall bladder had ruptured at some point causing it to leak, her liver then adhered to it to stop the leaking but when they directed her gall bladder to remove it from her liver it caused major bleeding and she was needed to be given blood. After more than 2 hours, 28 staples later she made it through surgery and it on her way to recovery. Her liver levels are almost back to normal, they are waiting for her kidney levels to go down and for her to eat. She is still currently at Wasson Memorial on an IV getting fluid, pain, and thyroid medication. All this being said her vet bills went from $1,000 to $9,000. Anything help $1 or $5 if you can't donate, please keep Chloe in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery! Thank you for your time!
