Cheryl Payne's Fight Against Breast Cancer
Don protégé
Hi, my name is Jineane and I am Cheryl's sister. I am fundraising to help support Cheryl as she battles Cancer.
On May 30, 2022, Cheryl was diagnosed with Breast Cancer after discovering a misshapen lump in her left breast back in March. After an initial false-alarm, Cheryl had a biopsy on the area just in case. Unfortunately, it came back as Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer - a type of cancer that makes up only 10-15% of all breast cancer diagnoses. Cheryl was and continues to be devastated.
Invasive Lobular Cancer starts in the breast lobules, often occurring in more than one area of the breast. Due to the nature of her invasive cancer, Cheryl requires surgery as soon as possible before the cancer cells start to spread into the surrounding tissue. During surgery, she will also undergo a sentinel lymph node biopsy to determine whether the cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes.
Cheryl is a single Mom to three kids (20, 14 and 9 years old), and she is worried about how to pay her upcoming bills. She needs support covering her monthly bills while she waits for medical coverage to kick in, plus take care of monthly expenses like rent, utilities, food and gas that won't be fully covered by EI alone.
No one should be worried about how to pay rent and food for their kids when they should be taking the time to ready for their upcoming breast surgery.
Cheryl is strong, confident, everyone's friend and ready to help someone at a moment's notice. Above all, if you know her well, she is a fighter. This will not keep her down for long.
But, right now, Cheryl needs your help.
Tell Cancer to get F*cked by donating 20 Bucks! (or whatever you can afford).
Donate today through GoFundMe or send Cheryl an e-transfer to ensure every dollar you donate will be directed to Cher (GoFundMe takes a fee alongside credit card fees for every transaction). Reach out to Jineane or Cheryl to receive her email address.
**This GoFundMe account is the only campaign for Cheryl** Updates will be provided to all donors during Cheryl's cancer surgery and treatment plan.
