Chemistry for Cystic Fibrosis
Donativo protegido
At this time, with all the concern around Covid-19, people with underlying conditions such as CF are particularly at risk. Cystic Fibrosis Ireland is a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with CF by establishing specialist units around Ireland to help patients with CF and their families, as well as fighting for access to life changing medicine.
I am a final year PhD student in University College Dublin, and last year I organised and ran a crash course for our 1st year chemistry class raising over €1500 euro. I had hoped to do so again this year, but can't. Instead, I'm setting up a dedicated youtube channel to give tutorials, exams tips and predictions for the 1st year Science students. I plan to make as many videos as I can between now and the end of the event, and hope to try and release them everytime I reach a donation mile stone (for example, every €10 for the first 200, and maybe every €20 after that).
These videos will be available to all students, as not everyone is in a position to donate, to ensure that no student is without what I hope will be a useful resource! Please donate as much as you are comfortable, but the suggested donation is €10 - this is how much last years crash course cost per person, and this year there will be far more content available!
Please share this page far and wide, as more donations received, means more videos to help students learn, and more money for CFI - every cent raised will go directly to the charity once the end date is reached (May 13th - the date of the 1st year chemistry exam). Thanks so much for taking the time to read this, and hopefully for sharing and donating it too!
