Chava's Double Lung Transplant Journey

Hi friends,

It's Chava and I am sitting in the true discomfort of making this post, but with the encouragement of my friends and family, I am here. I am currently waiting to be added to the lung transplant list at UT Southwestern in Dallas TX.

I am fortunate enough to have private health insurance to cover the extreme medical bills that will total up during my hospital stay however lung transplant recovery is not swift nor easy on myself or my support team. Currently, I live in Austin TX but with the nature of the surgery, we will need to temporarily relocate to Dallas TX ( 3 hours away). With that, we will need to find housing for 3 months, my family will need to take time off work and extra hands will be needed for my care.

It would be an immense help to cover the costs of transportation, meals, dog walkers, housing, and overall living expenses that will add up beyond my disability paychecks over the next few months. I feel already so grateful for your love, outreach, and well wishes. If you are able to financially support me as well, no amount will go unnoticed by the choice of helping me during a truly terrifying stage in my life.
