Chauncey @ Teen Challenge

Hi Friends and Family,

I know Chauncey Walker needs no introduction because he is the mayor of the North Side of Pittsburgh. It has been our privilage and a joy to know Chauncey since he was three years old. It has been our honor to partner with Dorine Walker to raise Chauncey since he was 12 years old. He first moved into our home on a temporary basis and then eventually, we adopted him.

We are so proud of the man he is becoming and we have great hopes for his future! Chauncey has faced many transitions in his life and it has become clear to us and to Chauncey that he needs some time away from his regular routine to work on some deeper issues of the soul.

After many conversations with people who understand trauma, intense research and even more prayer we have decided as a family (with Chauncey's input) that Mid Atlantic Teen Challenge is the best option for Chauncey to receive the help that he needs, to process the challenges and transitions he has gone through in life, and to find the healing that he needs.

We are grieving the idea of not having Chauncey around the daily flow of our family life but we are also full of anticipation for what we believe the Lord is going to do in and through his life, as he finds healing and establishes his foundation firmly in the person of Jesus Christ

The Teen Challenge program is going to cost approximately $50,000 for the 14 month program that Chauncey will complete. We are committed to Chauncey and his healing regardless of the cost but have been challenged recently by some close friends to put together a go fund me to let people know about the need. We are prepared to pay the full amount if this is what the Lord desires because we are convinced this is what is best for our son. However, if any of you are interested in partnering with us to invest in this world changer we believe that your investment in Chauncey will not return void.
