Chasing my dream of drama school in Paris

My name is Emma. I'm a 21-year-old Danish girl and this year I have the chance of a lifetime. I've been accepted into the drama school Cours Florent starting September 2019. Back in 2016 I was accepted into the three-year program ‘Acting in English’ but due to the lack of finance I had to postpone it. Now three years later I'm ready. I've been fighting, sweating and saving for this dream.

Five years ago I went to a small theater named ‘Teater Kamikaze’ where I wasn't one minute in doubt that theater is what I wanted to do with my life. Before I came to that place I was dealing with immense self-doubt as a result of not fitting in the regular school system as a creative individual and battling anxiety for a long time. Even though some of this still sits in me, every time I perform and act it all goes away and I find peace in the fact that I've achieved something that truly matters to me and to be in this special place where you feel right and you tell a story that can impact a lot of people.

 
I've been in contact with Cours Florent for the past years to constantly remind them that I'm still here and that I'm saving as much money as I can. Because it's no secret that both tuition and moving to another country isn't free. So I’ve been working part time jobs until the past year I got to work full time saving every penny and I've recently gotten a part time evening job as well and I'm still looking for more. I want this so much and I want to do my part and earn it no matter how many 12-18 hour shifts I'll have to take on before I leave.

 
I've managed to get a small apartment so I’ve secured accommodation and I'm in contact with several job agencies and I have a budget set out for when I move to Paris so I'm prepared to not live a life of luxury but that doesn't matter because I'll be doing what I love the most.

 
To sum up: This is something I've been building up from scratch. I got no honor awards or grants, it's just me who's been building this up on a hope of going to Paris to live out my dream and my passion for acting being the core of my motivation. The tuition fees are a total of 12700 euros (or 95000 DKK). I've managed to save for the first two years plus the deposit for my apartment so the total amount I've set up for funding will be for: My third and last year at Cours Florent and a small emergency savings so I always have a backup should anything happen.
