Matt Jonsson Recovery Fund

Due to a freak accident on February 6, 2021, 24 year old Matt Jonsson suffered a severe spinal injury at the C5 level. At this time, he has had a stabilization surgery but his medical team is unsure of what his mobility will be. While we hope for the best outcome possible, we want to be prepared for anything he may require on his long road to recovery, which at this time is estimated to be a 6 month stay in hospital. 

Matt is an active, fun-loving and outgoing young man. He loves to play basketball and is a talented BMX bike rider. He has a huge heart and is loved by his many friends and family. Already there has been a huge outpouring of love and support for his mom, Tish, and brother, Cole, for which they are very thankful.

Although our hope is for a successful full recovery, his medical team has advised that he may never walk again. We are anxiously waiting to find out what the level of function in his arms and hands may be. 

The money raised will go towards whatever supports Matt may need - whether it be a wheelchair, a specialized bed, or alterations to his home to accommodate his needs. Thank you for supporting Matt.
