Cell B Lymphoma

On January 9, I went to the emergency room thinking I had the flu. They performed a flu test and strep throat test and I was negative for both. I was sent home and as weeks passed, my cough worsened and I started experiencing chest pains and difficulty breathing.  I returned to the same emergency room and told them that I was there previously and although they said I don’t have the flu or strep, something was wrong. I can’t breathe and I’m wheezing and I don’t have asthma. They performed another cat scan and noticed that all my lymph nodes were inflamed and squeezing my main breathing tube. They transferred me via ambulance to Medical City Dallas and performed a biopsy on a swollen lymph node and pre diagnosed me with lymphoma. On February 10, I was admitted at Parkland hospital due to not being able to breathe and results came back and confirmed that I had cancer. Cell B Lymphoma. Once my medical records came from Medical City, I started chemotherapy to kill the cancer in my chest. I’ve depleted my sick time during January because I didn’t have energy, couldn’t breathe and kept coughing while having a fever and chills. I’ve also used all my vacation time during hospital stay. Once released after my first chemo treatment; I ran a fever and was re-admitted the following night and treated for sepsis and slight pneumonia. I will not be able to work while I go through outpatient chemotherapy for the following months and I’m humbly asking for help so I can continue paying bills, co-payments for doctors visits, prescriptions, etc. while I wait on funds while I undergo the remaining chemotherapy treatments.
