Celia Pienaar and the children need you

Celia Pienaar and her friends are still trying to make this world better and more equal.

All children in this world should have equal access to school. It is unfortunately not the case.

In South Africa (as well as many other countries), poverty is a real barrier to access to school.

Helping a small amount of children having their uniform and paying their school fees is already a small contribution to make this world a better place.

Celia says :

"Hello everyone,

As I reflect on my years in school.

I remember the pride of every learner when they feel part of the school community. That happened when all requirements were met and while sitting in class as learners we are all classified as one.

One of the things that increased the level of confidence in learners was that despite the differences in our home, we all felt that we are on the same level. However there were other instances where the would be a learner that does not have the proper school uniform and that would make that particular learner to have a low self-esteem.

Unfortunately that us still a reality of many children. In many families this has resulted in children not achieving the expected results or even dropping out of school.

Join me in making these children’s dream come true, by boasting their self-confidence and their achievements.

As we are approaching festive season, let us have these children in mind.

I am inviting everyone who sees themselves as the change-agents.

Let us come together and be the ones who get things done."

Objective:

To be able to assist at least 50 children with school requirements.

This includes uniform and the school fees.
