The Story
Dexter McMillan, Jr., a 20 year old Honors student at Savannah State University, recipient of multiple scholarships, and a Forensic Science Major had a bright future ahead of him; however, suddenly, without warning, HIS LIFE WAS OVER.
Can you imagine receiving a phone call at 12:10 am in the morning from your son’s phone expecting to hear his voice saying, “Mommy,” but instead, hearing that of a stranger asking who you are and who your son was and informing you that your son was unresponsive and later on deceased?
The unimaginable, unthinkable, and your worst nightmare has now happened… the loss of your child.
This is Dexter and Dianja McMillan’s story. They are members of the Marriage Ministry at World Changers Church International. They have served in this ministry for 16 + years serving to help keep marriages together and to help bring the divorce rate down to “zero.”
In the midst of this Pandemic and with other health challenges, the McMillans have held on to their faith that God will never leave nor forsake them and that God will make a way out of no way. They believe that God is their present help in the time of trouble. They are not letting unemployment and disability get in the way of their faith and their commitment to God and His Word.
In that this great tragedy practically happened overnight, it has placed a huge financial burden on the McMillans to have to bear. Outpourings of love and support have been offered, as well as many wanting to help. For all those people who love the McMillans and expressed your sincere condolences and just want to help in any way, this Gofundme gives you this avenue to express your sincere love and support.
We also welcome people whose heart has been touched by this circumstance, and just want to help, to also give to the Gofundme to help with funeral and other related expenses that the McMillans have incurred due to the loss of their loving son, Dexter McMillan, Jr.
