Layton Ivins. Forever 16 ❤️
Donation protected
We are still shy of our fundraising goal. It has almost been two months since Layton died. Our new normal sucks.
Layton died of fentanyl poisoning. One laced pill. The investigation into his death is ongoing. Our prayer is that those responsible will be held accountable.
This epidemic does not care your age, race, economic status or anything else. It is just evil. On average 300 Americans die everyday of fentanyl poisoning.
Forever 16. Our heart, our world was taken from this earth on January 22, 2023. Layton is in Our Father’s presence now. Layton’s heart for his friends, family and others was so big. His smile is forever in our memories. We just have no words. We are shattered and broken.
Layton was so creative as shown in his art, the many musical instruments he learned and even when producing his own music. He loved skateboarding, cars, going to the graffiti park in Austin, paintballing, hanging out with his friends and family. Layton loved learning new things. Layton is compassionate, kind and always had a smile. He worked two jobs, Jimmy Johns and Raising Cane’s Chicken in Georgetown while attending the 10th grade at Georgetown High School. Layton, his dad and brother would often serve others participating with a local non profit or bringing sandwiches to the homeless in Austin. He had a way of seeing the best and kindness in people. Layton had the best hugs. Friends described Layton as “such light”, “a friend to everyone”, “bright soul”, “showed so much love”, “hilarious” and “brave”.
For those who have reached out wanting to help, thank you. I’ve started this fundraiser to assist Cody and Kylon with what’s next. Keep them in your prayers please.
Blessings and Thank you.
