Our dear friend Molly Lewis Hoffstatter and her parents, Roger & Lynn Lewis, have tragically lost their brother and son, Andrew "Andy" Lewis, on Sunday, June 14, due to a base jumping accident near Moab, Utah.

Known around the world as "Sketchy Andy," he became a pioneer in slacklining, highlining, and BASE jumping. He helped transform slacklining from a niche pastime into a global sport, earning world championships, setting records, and inspiring countless athletes to step onto a line for the very first time.

He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, a community that will miss him profoundly, and a legacy that extends far beyond his remarkable accomplishments. His influence lives on in the countless people he inspired to take that first step, trust themselves, and pursue life with greater passion and purpose.

A celebration of Andy's life will be announced separately.
