Celebrate Russell's Life: Help Us Honor Him

Russ is a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran who has always been a fighter. He served his country with honor.

Russ, went to the hospital in November for a cough. He was diagnosed then with RSV and given inhalers. Weeks later he went back to the hospital feeling worse, they then diagnosed him with a fungal infection and possible pneumonia in his lungs and sent him antibiotics. His cough was still getting worse at this point so he decided to get a second opinion. That is when he was admitted in the hospital with oxygen levels dangerously low. thinking he had pneumonia—only to receive the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 colon cancer. At just 36 years old, he should be spending his days making memories with his family and watching his baby girl grow—not fighting for his life.

The cancer metastasized to his liver and lungs, making it extremely difficult for him to breathe. His oxygen levels were dangerously low, and he was in the hospital for weeks, requiring oxygen 24/7. He did two rounds of intense chemotherapy, surgeries, and other treatments in hopes of slowing the cancer’s spread and giving him as much time as possible with Olivia and the people who love him.

Russell lost his life unfortunately way too soon to cancer on June 11, 2025. He fought a good fight for as long as he could. He will be missed dearly by everyone. We will keep him in our hearts forever!❤️
