Davids Fight Against Cancer

Hello all, my name is Amber Girts and I am David Girts' youngest daughter.

I am starting this fundraiser for my dad who was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma on March 2nd, 2023.

Since Davids initial diagnosis his cancer has spread to his brain and he has developed a tumor, fortunately the tumor is operable so he continues to put up a fierce fight everyday.

My dad was admitted into the hospital on June 2nd, 2023 and as of today June 14th, 2023 he is still there receiving care due to dehydration, infections and other various side effects from his cancer and immunotherapy treatments.

Unfortunately Davids insurance is not accepted by the hospital he is currently recieving care from and his treatments will need to be paid out of pocket.

David is a loving father and grandfather who puts pride in his work ethic and constant drive, due to his prognosis he is no longer able to work to provide for himself and has resorted to selling his belongings.

Any donations to cover medical expenses are beyond appreciated and above all we ask for prayers and thoughts for my dad through this difficult and unsure time in his journey.
