We are team Keep Calm and Drive On.
This year in July we will be driving in a 25 year old car Nissan Micra from Cavan to Mongolia and back. The Mongol Rally one of the greatest tests of spirit and adventure in the world. It is a charity rally that has been ongoing yearly since 2004. Every year, hundreds of people sign themselves up for it.
Here are some key features to the rally:
1: You can only take a farcically small vehicle of 1 litre or less
2: You’re completely on your own
3: We decide our own route

We are raising money for Irish Kidney Association and Cool Earth
Irish Kidney Association

The prime role of the Irish Kidney Association is to support patients and their families affected by end stage kidney disease and are either being treated by dialysis or have a working kidney transplant. By providing information on kidney diseases, associated medical scenarios and social benefits and entitlements, the IKA helps patients and families live as normal a life as possible, given the presence of the kidney related illness.
Cool Earth

Non-profit organisation that works directly with rainforest communities enabling them to protect their surrounding forest
from commercial agriculture and extractive industries. Their approach is the most effective way to halt deforestation and climate change
As part of the Mongol Rally entrance agreement 550 euro will go to Cool Earth the charity chosen by the rally organizers and the remainder of funds will go to Irish Kidney Association.
The 100% of the sum raised here will be given to charities and will not be used for any expenses for the trip!
