My mother is one of the most amazing and supportive people I know. She has always been there for her two children and also her 4 younger brothers growing up. Family means more to her than anything. She is a loving mother, sister, and wife, and brings brightness to the lives of everyone who knows her.
On January 11th, we recieved news from the doctor that no one ever wants to hear, that she was in fact positive for breast cancer. The news hit our family like a ton of bricks.
Times ahead will be hard and money will be one of the biggest hurdles to overcome. My mom is too humble to ask for help, so this is our first step in helping her.
The money raised will help cover medical expenses and lost wages due to missing work. After having surgery in February, she has just began chemotherapy and will also need radiation treatment.
