Carol's Breast Cancer Journey
Always with a smile on her face, Carol worked tirelessly to improve the health of others. That's why it came as a surprise when she found a lump on her breast during a routine self-examination. Not too long after discovering the lump, Carol's team of physicians confirmed it was cancerous and needed to be removed.
And just a few months later, after a lumpectomy to remove the tumor and a few lymph nodes, Carol received a diagnosis of stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma, triple negative breast cancer. Since February of 2016, Carol has received four treatments of AC chemotherapy.
Recently, Carol was told that she will need a second course of chemotherapy - Taxol - to avoid metastization. When the Taxol treatments are done, Carol will begin radiation.
Despite this dark cloud of cancer looming over her head, Carol continues to smile, and be positive. With all the loving support from family, friends, and colleagues, and an incredible medical team, she knows she can beat this thing. 
But as her friends, colleagues, family, and friends, she needs our help. Carol spent her entire life putting others first. Now it's our turn to put Carol first.
If you so graciously donate money to Carol, you will be helping her focus solely on beating cancer. With her source of income drastically reduced, Carol is currently living paycheck to paycheck. Donating means helping Carol:

No one going through the fight for their life should have to lose their home or go hungry in the process. We want Carol to be the best she can be during this enduring time, and not have to worry about anything else.
And once Carol wins, we know her first request will be to go back to her office and help the community that has meant so much to her over the years. Any money received will be given to Carol as soon as possible to help with the crushing costs of cancer.
