Don protégé
Hi everyone,
On Thursday, December 15th, Carole's home was flooded when the big storm hit west Marin. The water was calf-deep and destroyed all of her possessions, leaving her homeless.
Carole is a very good friend of my mom, Suzanne, and a huge asset in our San Geronimo Valley Community. Carol is a volunteer at the San Geronimo Valley Community Center and an artist, selling her creations at the Garage in Forest Knolls.
Carole lives alone and doesn't have children so she needs us more than ever; so please consider donating your time and money.
Here's more from my mom who Carole is staying with for the time being. She doesn't have renter's insurance so we all need to help.
"Carole stayed with me last night and left me this note this morning before she left to continue packing:"
Suzanne –
"My phone is dead – not charging. It was destroyed in the flood.
Here is what I need - Please post to Heather or wherever on Facebook
“ It took me about 36 hours to understand… I LIVE IN A COMMUNITY!!! I’ve been flooded and I need help.
1. What I need immediately are some people to come to the house at 61 Juarez in Forest Knolls today, Saturday starting at 10am with cardboard boxes for packing, black magic markers and tape. I need to pack everything up and remove it from the house. Time is of the essence. Wear waterproof boots. Dress warmly.
2. STORAGE – a place to store things while the house is being worked on.
3. Money – assistance with setting up a Go Fund Me page.
4. Temporary housing till the house is repaired"
So there you go. Let's get together, make some magic happen and help out.
