Urgent Care for Carlyle & Barb

On March 6th I read this post from my dear friend and inspiration Carlyle Brown:

     My wife Barb has had a stroke. First it was dire then it      was not. Now she seems to be improving with a long          recovery ahead. I feel like I was cut in half. Please put        and keep her in your prayers.

Carlyle and Barb both have a long road ahead. It's lined with loving friends. As always they will hold each other close. But they need a lot of help. Carlyle pieces it together as all playwrights do, and Barb, who has been their practical foundation, needs all her strength for intensive rehab: physical, occupational and speech therapy. Fortunately, the hospital put them in touch with Medicaid, because they were uninsured. 

I wish it were a different world, and artists of Carlyle's caliber were subsidized and paid what they're worth, but it's not a different world. In this world, they need us.  They need our financial support to pay bills and buy food and keep up with the rent. And that's before the hospital bills start coming.

Please give what you can to keep them afloat during these hard recovery weeks and months. We're trying to raise $20,000 in the next 45 days, even though we know they'll need so much more.
